Peter Yang

Peter attends University Hill Secondary School in Vancouver, Canada. He is concerned with environmental economics and business, and is passionate about social issues and committed to serving the community. He has participated in academic activities such as national Economic competitions, mock trials and co-published "An Economic, Environmental, and Social Assessment of Clam Gardens in British Columbia” in Canadian International Conference on Sustainable Development Goals - CIC-SDGs2024 Conference.

As part of the Sustainable Futures Leadership team, He is co-founder of Green Futures, a youth-led non-profit organization, and has worked in various capacities such as active participation in the Youth Lcoy Mission and Ground Meeting organization, the Clam Garden Initiative to Protect First Nations, and will be attending the Conference of the Youth in Azerbaijan this year. In the meantime, Peter enjoys playing sports like soccer, basketball, and snowboarding. In doing these activities, Peter has the chance to interact with nature closely, which deepens his relationship and appreciation with nature. Having the opportunity to witness the beauty of nature through sports, Peter is keen to promote environmental protection to others globally to make sure environmental stability is established for generations to come.
