At Global Goals Week 2025, GreenFutures founder Peter Yang delivered an inspiring presentation on the vital role of youth leadership in combating the climate crisis. Drawing from his background as a Canadian delegate at COP 2024 and his initiative in founding the VSB Peer Support Program, Peter shared insights on bridging the gap between economics and environmental advocacy.

The session highlighted GreenFutures’ impactful milestones from the past year, including the release of a documentary on Indigenous clam gardens and the successful mobilization of over 1,000 youth volunteers. Peter concluded with a powerful call to action, introducing a new petition to integrate the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into the Canadian high school curriculum and demonstrating how authentic youth engagement can drive meaningful policy change.
