COY19 (Conference of Youth) – Baku, 2024
COY19 served as the premier global gathering for youth climate leaders immediately preceding the UN Climate Change Conference. It was a vital platform for us to unify diverse voices from around the world and build a collective strategy for impact. Our delegation actively participated in intensive policy writing workshops and contributed directly to the Global Youth Statement, ensuring that the unique perspectives and demands of Canadian youth were formally represented. Beyond policy, it was a space for deep capacity building, allowing us to connect with fellow activists, share best practices, and strengthen our global movement for intergenerational climate justice.
