At COP29, GreenFutures stepped onto the world stage to witness and influence the highest levels of climate diplomacy. As accredited official observers, we closely tracked critical negotiations on climate finance and adaptation, meeting with policymakers from various nations to push for ambitious commitments. But we didn’t just watch—we actively advocated for the importance of youth-led local initiatives. We highlighted how grassroots projects, like our peer support and community sustainability programs, are essential pieces of the global puzzle, demonstrating to international leaders that empowering youth at the local level drives tangible global progress.
